Tayammum

The Shareeat of Rasulullah is suitable for all times and ages and provides flexible alternatives for situations where the norm cannot be followed for any genuine reason.

The Quran says that:

‘fa lam tajedu maa an fa tayammamu saeedan tayyeban’ [if you do not find water (for wuzu) then use dust/sand to do tayammum].

Tayammum consists of laying one’s palms over dry soil and then lightly sliding them over the face and knuckles of both hands. Then passing the fingers on face from the forehead downwards. This doa is prayed while putting one’s hands on the dry soil.
